Australia Exchange Tour: Day 6
Let 6A Jessmi share her day.
The sunlight was calling me, “Wake up, Jessmi! There are so many interesting things we are going to experience today!”
Our breakfast of the day was scrambled eggs and crispy bread. Maybe it’s because I was very excited, so my meal tasted yummier because of the excitement!
After breakfast, we hopped on the bus and started our journey for our last day in Melbourne!
“DUU!” I looked out and saw a quaint and old, charming building. “How could this beautiful place turn into a space for the council members to work?” I screamed in my heart. How incredible it is!
Next, we went to the prettiest library in the world — the State Library Victoria ! It was an interesting place to visit because we could read all sorts of special and different kinds of books, such as novels, fiction, and stories, etc.
But besides that, it felt like we were visiting a mysterious museum too because there were so many showpieces in different exhibitions! Inside the reading room, it was just like Harry Potter’s school, Hogwarts! The library was like a time machine taking us to travel through the past and the present!
Then we had some nice and mouthwatering Chinese cuisine at a traditional Chinese restaurant. At first, the dishes looked normal and nothing special, but after we took a bite, they were actually very good! That’s why we shouldn’t judge people or things just by their appearance!
Next, we took the bus to the Rainbow Houses ! Each tiny little house had different shapes and interesting designs on it! For example, No. 2 was the Australia flag house, and No. 67 had a koala and a kangaroo!
During the time we spent at the beach and around the cute houses, I also played a dancing game with my friends and took a video introducing some fun facts! (I was very nervous when taking the video — I felt like my heart almost jumped out!)
Then we got on the bus and got ready for our final trip, which was the city walk! During the walk, we saw lots of amazing buildings and scenery, like the train station built in the 1850s, the graffiti valley filled with beautiful paintings, and the big church which looked absolutely gorgeous!
We also visited the souvenir shop .My friends were like HUNTERS— they CAUGHT a lot of souvenirs!
After the city walk, we ate Hainanese chicken rice for dinner. I hadn’t tried such a yummy one before, so it was a new experience for me! It was really delicious.
Then we hopped on the bus and went back to the hotel. During our journey back, Max, Ryan, Polly, Miss Chan, Miss Fung, and Ricky sang some songs. I was very surprised to know that there was a special show tonight! I cheered for them loudly because their performance was so great!
Then we went back to our hotel and started packing since it was the last day of our journey.
I hope tomorrow’s journey will bring something fun too!
See you later.
